The school opens at 8:45 a.m. and dismisses at 3:30 p.m. Students should arrive on time each day to ensure a smooth start to instruction and maximize learning opportunities.

Please call the main office in the morning at 516-733-2351. Our office team will transfer your call to our school nurse in order for you to report your child’s reason for absence.

Lee Avenue hosts the SCOPE Child Care program, however it is not supervised by Lee Avenue staff. The program begins at 7 a.m. and after-school dismissal until 6:30 p.m.

Hicksville Public Schools uses ParentSquare to communicate important information with families, including school announcements, emergency notifications, event reminders, and district updates. Parents and guardians are automatically enrolled using the contact information provided during student registration. To activate your account, visit ParentSquare Sign Up or download the ParentSquare app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. If you need assistance accessing your account or updating your contact information, please contact your child's school.

Student report cards, grades, attendance information, and other academic records are available through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Parents and guardians can create an account by visiting the Parent Portal and using the Access ID and Access Password provided by the school. If you need assistance creating an account or obtaining your access information, please contact your child's school office.

To maintain a safe environment, all visitors must enter through the main entrance and report directly to our greeter. All visitors will be required to show a valid form of photo ID and wear a visitor’s badge at all times while on school grounds
